Kailash Youth Hostal- Kathmandu, Nepal

Kailash Youth Hostal is one of my many charities Tout Le Monde aspires to help rasie money for.
The profits from Tout Le Monde's Movie Night are going to the hostal to help its children, and overall give them a better life. But many people dontate to several charities without knowing a thing about them. So heres and overview of the Hostal, and all the reasons why we should keep on supporting them.

The Kailash Hostel is operated by the Himalayan Children’s Foundation (HCF), a Nepali charitable organization, registered with the Nepali Government, providing education and general care to underprivileged children.

Kailash Hostel was established in part to bring children closer to quality schools so they could continue their education and take their knowledge back to their villages. The children attend three different schools, chosen by the age group. The schools are separate from the hostel but the hostel helps the children in their studying providing tutoring and extra-circular activites for them to expand their horizons. The overall standard of performance of the children is well above average: 13% of them received grades of 80% and higher. (40% is considered a passing grade in Nepal.). Last year, all of the children moved up into their next class. Credit for this achievement also goes to the staff of the Kailash Hostel. The progress of each child is closely monitored.
AKIS's Internationl Award Gold students actually visited this hostal, they helped them by: digging out pipes, and cleanig out a water tank. Now these chilren have a fresh running water supply. Some of the gold students even built a mosaic with deaf hostal residents in an attempt to get to know them better.
The majority of the children do very well on their own and relish the chance to learn. This is because these children have been given a shot at a brighter future!
